Think of a time when everyone around you has been losing it. It could be something in your personal life or a sporting situation or a situation with your friends. What did you do? Did you stay calm? Were you the one to fuel or dampen the fire of the situation? What happened in the end? How could the situation have ended differently?

Vocabulary - understanding the words will help us to interpret meaning. Here are some definitions that might help you understand this poem.
Triumph - winning
Disaster - a tragic event causing loss of life or great damage
Imposter - a person who deceives others, who is untrue or impersonating someone else
Knaves - untruthful or dishonest people
Stoop - to bend down with your head and shoulders
Pitch and Toss - a game in which players toss coins at a mark, the person whose coin hits closest to the mark
tossing all the coins in the air and winning all those that come down heads up
Sinew - tendon body part - the source of strength, power, or vigour
Virtue - moral excellence; goodness; righteousness
Unforgiving - not allowing for mistakes, carelessness, or weakness
