DESCRIBE
1) Words to describe Batman's appearance. 2) Words to describe Batman's personality
Example of DESCRIPTION: Appearance: Batman wears a skin-tight grey suit and a black cape. He wears a black mask with ears shaped like a bat. Personality: He is a brave, determined and heroic person. |
EXAMPLE
Give details of the clothes that he wears. Tell the story about his actions that show his personality. Example of EXAMPLE: Batman wears a yellow logo on the front of his costume which shows a bat silhouetted against a yellow background in a deliberate act to imitate Superman. He also wears a utility belt so that he has somewhere to stash all of his secret weapons. Batman is brave because he challenges villains and always acts heroically for the good of the people. |
EXPLANATION
Reasons why he dresses like he does and examples of how his actions show his personality. Example of EXPLANATION: Batman dresses in this suit to disguise his real identity and enable him to live his own life as Bruce Wayne. Secretly he performs his heroic deeds to rescue people in distress. He uses dark-coloured clothes so that he can move around in the night and not be seen. The suit is also designed to cause criminals to be afraid of him. If the criminals can't see him then he can move stealthily to surprise them. |
DEVELOPMENT
How people in the world behave in this way or help society in some way. Example of DEVELOPMENT: The world needs determined and heroic people like Batman so that when people get into trouble, someone is brave enough to save them. Without heroes, the world would be a very selfish place. Batman has the strength of character to stand up to vicious criminals. |
